Most people today will make their decisions about what they are going to do in life by the peer pressure that is exerted upon them. Or a politician will watch the daily tracking polls to make their decisions. Hollywood will exert pressure on our morals by what others believe. A senator was once asked the question; What do you think about abortion? Because of the pressure on both sides of the issue, he said “ Well some of my friends are for it, and on the other hand, some of my friends are against it, well, I am for my friends.” He should have said, “ Well the bible says it is wrong” and leave it at that. We should never yield to popular opinions but, always say and do what is right. We have a special code to live by and it is the bible. Regardless of what others think we should always make the right choices and live by them. The bible teaches that if you make a promise about something and then later find that it would not be the most popular thing to do, you should stay true to your word even if it ends up ruining you. We should always be known in life for our integrity. Be sure of this, not only are people watching us in tough decisions, but God is too.
